WATCH THE 84th ANNUAL ACADEMY AWARDS ON THE BIG SCREEN AT CINEMA PARADISO
Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLiFF) rolls out the red carpet for the 84th Annual Academy Awardsî on Sunday, February 26 at Cinema Paradiso. Experience all the excitement in hi-def and Dolby sound on the bigger than life movie screen inside the theater or outside in the courtyard. The doors open at 6:00pm and the live telecast begins at 8:00pm.
Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the awe-inspiring historical Hollywood landmark, serves as inspiration for FLIFF's celebration of the big night at Cinema Paradiso. Guests can walk the red carpet and have a chance to stamp their hands on the sidewalk in a similar fashion to the Hollywood stars at the Chinese Theater! Come dressed as a Geisha, Ninja or in a Zari and receive a free glass of plum wine or glam it up in Hollywood glitz for a chance to win prizes.
Asian cuisine will add to the flavor of the evening with great dishes including: "MONEYBALL" Miso Soup,"EXTREMELY LOUD & INCREDIBLY CLOSE" Thai Curry Coconut Shrimp Soup, "HUGO" Vietnamese Spring Rolls, "MIDNIGHT IN PARIS" Stir Fried Veggie Rice, "THE ARTIST" Steamed Dumplings, "WAR HORSE" Teriyaki Meatballs, Tandoori Chicken and for dessert..."THE TREE OF LIFE" Ginger & lemon cake, refreshing "THE DESCENDANTS" Sorbet Bar and "THE HELP" Rice Pudding with a complimentary glass of Sake. Drink specials will also be available all night.
Guests will also have opportunities to win prizes throughout the evening through a variety of contests, raffles and by predicting which nominees will win an Oscarî (ballots will be available).
