November 6 - November 22, 2015
Entertaining features, documentaries, and shorts from around the globe.
A Vacation from Ordinary Film.
The Broward County Film Society is the very essence of non-profit. As a 501(c)(3) Non Profit Cultural Institution, your gift is tax-deductible (consult your accountant on IRS rules). We gladly accept both restricted (you can designate how you want your money spent!) and unrestricted (general operating funds aren't sexy, but they make the machine go!).
You can buy a chair and have your name inscribed! Then the chair can always be reserved just for you!
It doesnât have to be cash...stocks are accepted as well. You can also donate property.
Consider Planned Giving and create your legacy with The Film Festival and Cinema Paradiso.
We need a wide variety of...well, things. Items vary per program:
1. Transportation needs including vans (cargo and passenger), cars
2. Office supplies like computers, copy paper, envelopes of all sizes, pens
3. Theater supplies that can be quite costly like lights (ask us what kind), tables, extension cords, tools, projectors (film & video), speakers, carpeting
4. Supplemental needs for our concessions like wine, beer, soft drinks, booze, popcorn machine, salt, flavoring, microwave, freezer, refrigerator, ...really, just about anything of value.
We also need services: Donations for raffles prizes and auctions are always a big time need (if you've ever been to one of our amazing events, you already know), lawn care, plumbing, electric, secretarial, bartenders, copying, printing, mailing, computer repair, AC repair...once again, just about anything you can think of.
And one of the most valuable gifts...your time. We need volunteers 365 days a year. At Cinema Paradiso, we need help answering the phone, selling tickets, ushering, cleaning, helping with gala events, cutting the grass, counting ballots...and away from CP we have outdoor movies, parties, plus our outreach to Sunrise, Weston, Davie, Pompano, St Augustine and Grand Bahama Island.
