New Movie Project Calls Residents to Focus on Life in Broward County Films will be presented and Prizes Awarded at Cinema Paradiso

(Fort Lauderdale, FL) -- December 9, 2011 -- You don't have to be Werner Herzog to film and submit a 1 to 3 minute documentary to Movies of Our Lives, a new program co-sponsored by Funding Arts Broward, The Knight Foundation and The Broward County Film Society. All you need is a good idea and a video camera or a cell phone. If you don't have any of those and still want to participate, WPBT-TV will have cameras stationed at different sites around Broward County to record your one minute interview.
The subject matter can be anything you love about life in Broward County; the parks, the beach, the arts, the restaurants, sports... or perhaps something you're not too crazy over such as traffic, roads, politics, over development. It can be about a family activity, your dog or your alpaca. Get the point? It can be about anything as long as it's about life in Broward County and if you complain about something, offer a solution.
Movies of Your Lives is free to enter and over $5,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded. There are adult and junior divisions; juniors must be between the ages of 8 - 15.
Films must be submitted on DVD or via email as an MOV file by April 10, 2012. Please include with your submission: Name of filmmaker(s), Phone, Cell, Email, Film Title, Topic and format.
Mail DVD submissions to: FLiFF/MOOL, 1314 East Las Olas Blvd #007, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301-2334 or drop it off at Cinema Paradiso 503 SE 6 Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301.
MOV files can be emailed to: info@fliff.com
