Paradiso Patio Courtyard Rental Information

Introducing the "Paradiso Patio" Courtyard!
In 2006 a renovation project on Cinema Paradiso was launched designed to both enhance the comfort and over-all experience for the theater's current patrons, and also to attract more South Florida residents and visitors alike. These renovation consist of replacing the marquee, signage and exterior lighting, painting the faηade of the theater, paving the west side of the building, adding an enlarged permanent canopy structure, improving the concessions area, improving the kitchen facilities (not yet completed), updating the lobby bathrooms (not yet completed), and various repairs to the actual theater.

The courtyard is located on the west side of the building. The area is completely covered by a permanent canopy structure. The area is paved by terra-cotta bricks which feature the names of donors and celebrities and prominent filmmakers who have attended the annual film festival and/or Cinema Paradiso.

The courtyard has 28 electrical outlets providing 60 amps of electricity. The canopy has four ceiling fans and ample lighting for outdoor events.

Base Rental Fees* (0-4 hour blocks)
Weekdays (prior to 4pm) - $300 (please note: limited parking available)
Weeknights - $400
Weekends - $500 (includes Friday Night)

”Happy Hour” Rentals, great for casual business get-togethers, receptions and meetings: 4pm – 6pm $200 / $150 nonprofit rate
(all guests are invited to attend the 6pm or 7pm film for free. (based on availability))

Note: Noise restrictions limit event activities after 11pm

Base Rent Includes:
• Public Restroom, Lobby Concessions, and dressing room/food preparation access
• One House Manager and House Staff
• Electricity (60amps / 28 outlets)
• Resin Tables and Chairs (seating for 50)
• (4) - 6 foot work tables

Additional Charges Include:
• Overtime hours for courtyard - $100 per hour
• Custodian cost beyond 2 hours cleaning time - $12 per hour per person
• Additional sound or lighting equipment – see renter agreements application for more information

• Upgraded tables and chairs/linins – see renter agreements application for more information

Rental Policy:
• Date holds are taken on a first-come basis. A 50% deposit is needed at time of making the reservation to hold the date.
• Balance of rental fee due one week prior to rental date.
• No return of deposit after 30 days prior to the event date.
• $50 - $300 cleaning and/or security deposit due at time of making the reservation. Deposit refunded on credit card or check issued the next weekday following the rental date.

Cancellation Policy:
To receive a full refund of deposit, notice of cancellation must be received by the Special Events Office in writing 45 days prior to the date scheduled and reserved. Cancellation notice received 45 days prior to the event will receive refund of deposit less 25% retained by Cinema Paradiso for handling. A cancellation made less than 30 days prior to event shall forfeit deposit amount in total.

Insurance:
Renter must provide a Certificate of Insurance with current Comprehensive General Liability Coverage in the amount of $1 million. The Broward County Film Society shall be named as additional insured for the date of the event. Certificate must be filed with the Cinema Paradiso Office at least 14 days prior to the event.

The Renter will be held liable for all damages incurred due to neglect or improper implementation of these guidelines. All repairs, cleaning and related expenses, performed by staff or outside contractors, will be billed to the Renter on a time and material basis.
