Yes - Cinema Paradiso is available to rent!
Located in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale, Cinema Paradiso is the perfect venue for a wide range of events.
The theater, features 200 plush fabric covered stadium seats (additional seating can be added to comfortably seat 250), a full proscenium stage, and a complete lighting and sound system.
The theatre also has full capability for showcasing quality films of various formats, including projectors to 35mm & 16mm films, and a 7,700 lumen Sanyo LCD projector to view videotapes, DVD's, DigiBeta, BetaSP, Mini DV, DV, video CD's, and XVGA computer presentations.
     
The theatre is 100% wheelchair accessible and FREE parking for our events is located at the county courthouse parking garage (just to the west of our building). Parking is also available at any nearby city-metered spot which is free after 6pm weekdays and free all day on Sundays.
Cinema Paradiso's lobby with it's "old world" charm and the fully covered Paradiso Patio are the perfect place for cocktails and hor dourves before entering the theater for meetings, films, or live presentations. Our concessions are complete with a full service coffee shop, food ranging from traditional movie theater concessions to sandwiches, wraps and salads, plus a full bar including beer and 30 wine selections.

Cinema Paradiso is excellent for almost any type of entertainment; Movies, Live Music, Live Comedy, Live Theater, Dinner Theater, Children's Entertainment, Concerts, Television and MORE! Additional information on the theater’s live production capabilities is located on the renter’s agreement.
 
Weddings
As Cinema Paradiso started out its life as the "New Methodist Church of Fort Lauderdale" it's only fitting that Cinema Paradiso is a great place to get married. Weddings ranging from traditional ceremonies to "movie-themed" ceremonies have been held at the theater.
Movies
Of course the heart of Cinema Paradiso is its role as an independent movie theater. Everything from movie premieres to private movie viewing parties. All films shown on a rental basis at Cinema Paradiso are for private screenings only, unless approved by theater management.

Paradiso Patio Courtyard Rentals
The newly renovated Courtyard is a 30’ x 40’ completely covered area located on the west side of the building. The space features terra-cotta pavers, beautiful flowering potted plants, ceiling fans, and full electricity.
When renting the theater, the courtyard can be rented for $100 per hour. (Based on availability) Additional the courtyard can be rented for weddings, receptions, and other events. (Courtyard standing room capacity is approximately 100 people)

For both the theater and the courtyard, Cinema Paradiso offers concessions and a limited bar. There are several ways in which these facilities can be utilized in conjunction with your event.
Bar Options
Cash bar
Cinema Paradiso offers a selection of beer, wine, bottled water, soft drinks, and juices. If desired, the concessions can be opened during your event and your guests pay the regular everyday prices:
Beer ($3.50 -$4.50)
Wine ($3.50 - $12.00)
Mixed Drinks ($5.00)
Soft Drinks, Bottled Water, Juices ($2.50)
Drink Tickets*
Cinema Paradiso will provide the client with drink tickets if they choose that option. The client will need to notify Cinema Paradiso as to how many guests will be attending and how many drink tickets per guest they would like. The client will be responsible for distributing the tickets at their event or the tickets can be sold indivisualy to guests.
Unless requested differantly, drink tickets cost as follows:
Mixed Drinks
$5.00 per drink ticket
Beer / Wine
$4.00 per ticket
SOda / Water / JUice
$3.00 per drink ticket
*rates do not include bartender tips
Open Bar*
The client will need to notify Cinema Paradiso as to how many guests will be attending; cost will be determined by how many bracelets are distributed. The client will be responsible for distributing the bracelets at their event. Open bar costs must be paid in advance prior to the start of the event.

Advance Event Promotion
Cinema Paradiso offers several ways to display materials to promote your event. Though we cannot accommodate all materials, we do the best we can to represent your production as much as possible. Following are guidelines for promotional materials:
• We will be happy to display flyers for events being held at Cinema Paradiso only. Flyers with dates in venues not at Cinema Paradiso that competes with our on events may not be displayed.
• Posters should be 27” x 40” (portrait orientation) or smaller to fit into our show glass cases in front of the theater. Location is not guaranteed as we have many events and films to accommodate. We will work your posters into our rotation at the earliest possible date as appropriate to the event. You may not tape posters, or any materials, to the front of the poster cases or to any wall of the theater. If you do, we will remove ALL of your materials from the theater.
• All materials should be submitted to House Manager Frank O’Connell for proper placement in the theater. We reserve the right to remove any materials not submitted through the proper channels.
• To have your event or film included on our web site or in e-blast, email a full description of the event to Hal Axler at Hal@fliff.com. (Maximum length for synopsis, 700 words).
