SURF’S UP AT SAVOR CINEMA JULY 19 – 25
Catch the thrills of the surfing the biggest waves around the world on the big screen at Savor Cinema as the theater presents six (6) top, new surfing films at the 2019 SURF FILM FEST.
Films include Billabong Adventure’s Division latest documentary Vague à l’Âme (Wave of the Soul), Shaka which follows snowboard champion Matthieu Crepel as he trades in snow for legendary waves, White Rhino the story from the big wave surfers and photographers who witnessed the largest surf ever seen, Big Wata about the first and only surf club in Sierra Leone, And Two if By Sea: The Hobgood Brothers, with Director Justin Purser in attendance and Heavy Water. All tickets $10.
And to kick it off, join us, Saturday, July 20, 8:30pm at our FLIFF “LUAU PARTY”, featuring live music by the eclectic quartet, “Gold Dust Lounge” band performing old favorites and new compositions, including their latest album Gold Dust Lounge, the perfect companion for lazy summer road trips, mid-day sipping with your feet in the pool, or late night hanging with friends. This instrumental band out of Miami, FL led by guitarist / composer, Russell Mofsky and also featuring Robin Roslund: violin, Rob Elba: bass, Pascal Robert: drums.
